Continue all medications for blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid problems and any other conditions as recommended by your physician. If there is a question, please call our office prior to your appointment.
Please eat a regular breakfast or lunch as applicable.
If you have been advised by your physician or dentist to use antibiotic premedication for an artificial cardiac valve replacement, a history of infective endocarditis, or joint (hip, knee, shoulder) prosthesis, please make sure you are on the appropriate prophylactic antibiotic on the day of your appointment. If there is a question, please call our office prior to your appointment.
For first time consultation or first time evaluation and treatment: please, do not take over-the-counter or prescription pain medications within 6 hours of your appointment. This will allow Dr. Webb or Dr. Fenton to have a true evaluation of the tooth.
For patients who have completed a consultation/evaluation and are scheduled for treatment: you can take over-the-counter medications such as: ibuprofen (Advil), naproxen sodium (Aleve) acetaminophen (Tylenol), to reduce inflammation and/or pain when taken prior to treatment unless contra-indicated by your physician. Follow the doses recommended by the drug manufacturer.
